Hi all! I'm new and figured I'd introduce myself!
My name is Jeff, and I'm from Kansas. I'm currently working my way through Vet Tech school, and eventually Vet school!
I used to raise poultry for several years, but I took a break for a while. Now I have decided to pick it back up, as it has always been a favorite hobby of mine.
I have had banties and standard hens, ranging from cochin's to barred rocks. And of course, they all had names.
I bought 25 random hens from someone who wanted to get rid of them. They will eventually be added to my current flock of 6 hens and 1 rooster. A majority of these are mixed hens and old, aside from one lone barred rock hen.
This is what I have so far:
8 Rhode Island White Hens
6 Rhode Island Red Hens
4 White Orpington Hens
2 Black Australorp Hens
2 Black Sex-Link Hens
2 Araucana Hens
1 Wyandotte Hen
I will eventually post photo's, because I'm not sure if these breeds are correct.
