I live in Northampton County, PA and have been raising chickens for 5 years. I've tried various brown egg layers, and found I favor the Ohio Buckeye. I currently have 8 hens and one 10month old rooster. I need to find a home for the rooster as my neighbors are complaining of his 4am crowing. I've contacted two area farms and neither are interested. I don't want to post an regular free ad in the newspaper, as I don't want him used for fighting. I realize roosters aren't desirable, and hope to find someone that might use him for dinner. No one is our area processes chickens. Not that I could eat him, anyway. If there is anyone in the area that would like to have him we would be willing to travel a bit. thanks.
