Hi! I am new here, live in CT, we have 5, 6 month old barred rock chickens, and I really love them! I am here to learn all I can, talk with other chicken owners on this site! First question, my hens seem to love my company, what is the best ways to socialize them with people, and do they really recognize you, from other people?

Hello and

Glad to have you onboard! The best way to socialise with your hens is to feed them... and yes, they do recognise the person/people who feed them the most often, and can tell them apart from everyone else. They'll run up to you when they hear your voice, or whatever hens use to distinguish between people, lol.

Don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have, and enjoy the site.
