My name is April, I live in Dayton, Ohio. I have been raising chickens for 5 years now. I still have one of my very first chickens, this is her in the picture with me. She will be 5 in August. We started out by buying eggs off eBay. The auction was for 12 eggs, but the person had extra at the close of the sale and sent us 18. We put them in an incubator and 17 of them hatched. Over time we expanded to a mini-farm, including cows, pigs, and horses. (Those were his specialty) My thing was the chickens, ducks, and turkeys. We had to give up the farm when the economy went downhill, but still raise chickens!!
