I've been reading the forums here about all the different quail cages you guys have made in preparation for making some of my own. I do have 2 already but need to make a bunch more. Currently we have some odd number of chickens (I've lost track) and have both hatched them out from eggs our hens laid and our hens hatched some out on their own. I've also traded some chicks with friends to get different ones. We just got 2 Campbell Khaki ducklings which my daughter hatched in science class too. We have 3 guinea fowl because we are sort of the local home for wayward birds.... people bring us birds they no longer want LOL.
I just hatched out a dozen bobwhite quail and am looking into raising more for eggs and meat production. We don't eat our chickens just their eggs.
I found this site by searching for info on the quail
My husband, teenaged daughter and I live in Maine on an old farm which currently produces hay. My husband works in technology and I am a glass artist making jewelry, dishes etc... I do some farmers markets with my jewelry and want to branch out to selling quail eggs and some veggies. Currently growing a ton of potatoes in potato tire towers.
Not sure what else to say : )

Here is a pic of my newest quail cage for my new babies. It's built inside the barn in the window.
