Hi everyone,
I didn't know there are so many chicken lovers! A little about me: I'm 17 year old, I'm from Lithuania, not crazy for chickens but I love poultry birds, so I feed them, collect eggs, handle broody hens (oh, where did those chickens came from!?) and when they die bury them (hey, someone's gotta do the dirty job)

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
No, my family has been raising chickens as long as I can remember

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
10, although over the years the number of chicken varied from 5 to 20

(3) What breeds do you have?
5 red sex links, 1 Andalusian, 2 Australorps, 1 Plymouth rock, and a rooster (probably not pure breed). Also had leghorns, broilers and mixed breed chickens.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I was searching for information about turkey diseases. Sad story, 5 out of 7 turkeys died this year. One has eaten a wasp or a bee and choked. I don't know what really happened to others. I think heat (+34*C) could exhaust them, or maybe they were not vaccinated and caught a disease.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Listening to music, basketball, hanging out with friends

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
