Hello!

I have been raising chickens since April 2011, so I am some-what new to the chickens. I am positive I will have a thousand questions to ask and maybe a few tips! Currently I own two Gold Sebright bantie pullets, two Golden Comet hens, one Barred Rock, one Dominique, one Columbian Rock, and one Amber Link (should be laying soon!). I have owned Amerucauas and Columbian Wyandottes previously, until the Wyandottes turned out being roosters, and the Amerucaunas turned out being broody. I hope one of these days I will raise some Polish, Wyandottes, Sizzles, and maybe even Silkies. Me and my family (Mom, Dad, brother, and sister) hand-made our coop. It has roosts, nesting boxes, a winter run (They seem to hangout in the winter run a lot.. It's connected to the coop, but we leave the door opened), and a summer run. My chickens seem to be wimps and hate the snow, so they hangout in the coop and "winter run" all winter (that's why I call it the winter run, LOL.).

Currently only three hens are laying... Three are still pullets and two are molting. My Golden Comets and my Columbian Rock are laying everyday though! :)

Happy chicken-keeping!

!!!! sorry that this greeting is so late...

Welcome! Your name is cracking me up.... since they were very little, I've always told my kids, "What do we do with broken cookies?" (when they were crying because their cookie broke). Answer, "We EAT EM!" And we all laugh. Now I'll be sure to do the same for brownies.
