I just acquired a tiny flock of 4 laying hens, quite by accident, since they sort of "came with the house."
They were there when we moved into our new house, and we happily agreed to take them over. It's a wonderful thing, except I don't know the first thing about caring for chickens! I've been reading up on the subject since yesterday, so I think I'm up on the basics, such as feeding, watering, and providing suitable shelter. I'm hoping that through time I'll get more knowledge and my insecurity will disappear. I very much want to succeed and and for my chickens to be happy!
