Just now joined the BYC forum. Can't believe I am doing this again. I have been raising chickens for many years, including having kids in 4-H with ducks and chickens, even served as a Poultry Superintendant at a county fair. Swore off the biddies, until last year when my mother passed away and we hauled her chickens, house and all from Kingston WA to Yakima. what a day. Now I'm thinking of replacing her old hens with some new ones, making my own feed, etc, etc.

There are some threads on making your own feed in the Feeding and Watering your Flock section. Try the advanced search bar here to find them. Just type in the keywords. I call it my "chicken google" LOL
