Hi, I'm a poultry owner. I'm 15 and I have help from my aunt and dad with this. The only problem is that I have to get rid of them every year since I can't afford a barn or anything.
This is my coupe. I have a porch that connects to it. And I usually cover it up with boards when it storms and at night. I have 6 acres that I let them roam. And have a pen I put them in when I'm busy/ not home to keep an eye on them. I just finished cleaning the pen and gettin it ready for the Birds. Now I just have to put the fence up.
I've had many different chickens types 3 years in a row. I've had geese twice and ducks twice. The geese were awesome, but for some reason they didn't like my mom, my sister or my dog; they were all females (weird). Anyway, this year I've decided that I'm gonna get 6 chickens and 6 ducks. I'm not sure what kind though.(any ideas?)

Could you just fix up the little coop you have now so your chickens could be in it all year? You didn't mention a location, so I can't guess that your weather is like.
