Hello BYC community!
I am new to the forum, and new to raising chickens as well. My name is George, and I live in North Carolina. I've always been interested in raising chickens, and my kids provided me with the motivation to go for it.
I remember as a young kid, my father bought me that tiny little yellow incubator (the very inexpensive one) and it came with some quail eggs. I remember excitedly turning the eggs each day until hatch day, and believe it or not 80% of the quail eggs hatched. I reminisce about how cool the whole experience was, and want to be able to give my kids a similar experience.
I think my children will enjoy watching the eggs hatch, and they will learn responsibility in helping me raise the chickens; sounds like a win-win to me
. It's great to meet all of you, and I look forward to interacting and learning from all the experience here at BYC.
