I've been coming on BYC website for awhile trying to learn all there is before I got chickens!!! Now I finally have 4 hens. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of chickens I have. My boyfriend went to get them and of course he wasn't paying attention. Since then I've been told they are plain jane brown hens and red sexlinks. Please someone help me!
I like my chickens they keep me happy.. I wish they would start to lay eggs, but right now its great to watch them range over the yard and dig holes in the dirt! Funny little birds aren't they!
This is my first year owning chickens. However I was taught to skin them a couple of years ago when I worked on a farm so I won't be keeping a chicken sanctuary for the rest of my life lol.
Anyway I love BYC I have learned a lot and hopefully a whole lot more.

I think Tail-less, Kat, and Showgirl look similar, but BB just doesn't look like the same kind of chicken.



Here's my girls! This is Tail-less obviously she has no tail



This is BB aka Black Bottom Girl! She's the only one with black tail feathers


This is Showgirl. She is a pretty chicken always striking a pose. At least I think she's the prettiest one we have.


This is Kat. She is my curious one. Curiosity didn't kill the chicken... So I named her Kat.
