Hello!

will you be using purebreds or attempting to create or improve on certain breeds? Generally people set up breeding pens of maybe 2-3 hens and one rooster, so that the hens are not socializing with any other roo.. Then you collect and date the eggs and use your form of short hand to identify who the mama is. Will you be using an incubator or hoping to have some broody hens to do the work for you?

I have a flock of layers just for eggs but my breeding project is going to be sizzles :) I've got a white silkie roo, a grey silkie hen, and 2 young sizzles, one I know is a rough sizzle hen, the younger one I'm 95% sure is a hen but I've been proved wrong before haha
I will be incubating the eggs when I'm ready to start breeding. I still have a bit more researching to do!

Some pictures :)
