Just saying hello and introducing the mini flock of chickens and Ducks:
*flock numbers adjusted by local predators, local predator numbers adjusted by #8 shot
Chickens:
Buff Brahma (rooster and hens)
Light Brahma (hens)
Rhode Island Reds (2 roosters and a hen)
New Hampshire (hens)
Cuckoo Marans (rooster and hens)
Coronation Sussex (hen)
Welsummer (unsure)
English Orpingtons (x15 currently 1 week old approx)
Ducks:
Rouen (5x Drakes)
Pekin (1x Drake, 3x Ducks)
Muscovys:
Black (1x Drake, 1x Hen)
Chocolate (1x Hen)
White (2x Hen, 1x Drake)
Blue/White mix (1x Hen, 1x Drake)
I think I've remembered them all, well apart from the ones that don't really have a breed/type and tend to get known as a heinz57 variety.
I've been looking at the articles here for a few months and thought i'd better join. Some very useful information and also some highly innovative work-arounds for some of the seemingly expensive items required for keeping these wonderfully productive creatures.
*apologies for any strange English, I'm foreign, from England.
