I'm researching feed stores and other such subjects. I am going to be one amazing chicken mama!

I'm updating my own little thread here ... I have been through a full year ... I lost a few babies from the hatchery which I suppose is to be expected ... I had eight to maturity then lost one to a hawk attack which was a terrible shock and very use trying to my children (Alas, "Ruby" is no more!

). We wintered a tough winter and dealt with one passing illness. We've emerged from the ice age of the northeast with an apparent case of bumble foot a lot of skinny chickens. I'm looking forward to fattening them up for a happy season of foraging and fresh eggs!

I have 15 more chicks en route to round outy layers .,. Wel summers, Leghorns, more EEs ... Thinking of a new batch of names, eager for a new batch of chicks!
