Hi! I am a first time chicken mama. I have 3 baby chicks (9 days old). They are an Easter Egger, a Silver Laced Wyandotte and a RI Red.

I've really enjoyed reading many posts in the forums and had a question quickly answered already... This is a great site and I'm excited to learn a lot from you all!

Here's a pic of my little girls :)

Well you don't look tipsy to me but, maybe you did celebrate a little too much over the new chicks.

I'm a dog lover so can't go without saying you have a beautiful Westie.

Thank you @Drumstick Diva, he's actually a mini schnauzer. His color is silver which is not a super common schnauzer color. His name is Nigel. I haven't quite decided if he loves the new babies or if he would love to eat them. Lol

Welcome to BYC!

Your babies are adorable! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask. Welcome to our flock!

Hi everyone! I'm new to backyard chickens! This website is amazing & has so much information on it I'm loving it!!! The last 10 years we've just raised meat chickens, but my husband raised all different types when he was younger. Now we have a place out in the country with 18 acres and are able to get more animals, which we're very excited about! We have ordered & coming next week a bunch of buff orps, welsummers & Iowa blues. I got my hubby a new incubator for his birthday this week & he's dying to try it out too! He would really like to find a couple hatching eggs for a few sweet grass turkeys!

Thanks everyone!! Thanks for all the nice welcomes too! @ACSchueler- sounds very exciting! We are getting some meat birds next month (I'm a little nervous about that) but I'm so happy to have our 3 little girls!
