Hello, new member here...I got my first chickens ever--four hens--last September, and I absolutely love them. When we got them, three of them were several months old, and the fourth was young enough she still "cheeped." Turns out that the youngest (and my favorite) is blind. They joined our family--me, my husband, and two kids, as well as our dog, a golden lab, who is wonderful with them. I have been using the BackYard Chickens site to answer my many questions, and I joined today because I have a question that I will be asking in a different thread.
