Hi I'm Sarah after looking an reading this site over the past week iv signed up as a member! Big hello! Well I think I should tell you a bit about myself an my small gang I have here, I live in nottinghamshire in the uk, I have 64 chooks of all different breeds my favorite is the polish bantams and wyndottes, over the past couple of weeks iv lost a few chicks due to mg, they have all been de mited now an on antibiotics so fingers crossed my ladies an gents get better soon, iv also got some vitamin powder from my vets for during an after antibiotic treatment, also Apple cider vinegar too, is there anything else I could buy for them to help them on their way to recovery what I can buy on the net or ask my local feed store to order for me? Luckily my vet didn't charge for a consultation as iv had denagard from them before (phew!!)

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Sorry you have had losses. You might get them on some probiotics. 75% of the immune system is in the intestinal tract and by keeping the good bacteria flourishing, you can ward off the bad pathogens before they take hold in the body. Beef up the gut and you beef up the immune system. I use probiotics several times a week on my flock.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Sorry for the loss of your chicks, but it sounds like you are doing what you can for the others, and TwoCrows has given you some good advice as well. I hope the rest of your chickens all fully recover.
Cheers,
Michael.

and Welcome To BYC! Sorry for the chicks you've lost, hope the rest are OK, you might also want to post in the Emergencies forum for ideas on what you can do to help them https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures
This is what you need. Good luck to you and your flock.

Thanks guys!

you'll be glad to hear all my chooks are well on their way to recovery! Iv had no more casualties yipeeeeee!!!! Today I took the family to a swimming complex in Barnsley on the way we past a place where we got our cream crested leg bar from so we popped into see them..... Ended up coming out with a pair of beautiful silver sebrights and 4 more Wyandotte chicks, I'm keeping them all well away from the rest of the flock until all clear! Thanks again for your advice people xx

You're welcome. That's exciting that you were able to get some more chooks. Silver Sebrights are gorgeous bantams. Just be careful not to succumb to chicken math. :o)
Cheers.
