I'm beginning on this journey of chickens and am super happy. I'm on a shoestring budget and can't be happier putting stuff together for my hens. I'm looking forward to having my children work on a "farm" taking care of chickens.

Welcome! We too are on a shoestring budget. Gathering pallets to make an actual coop. Right now ours are in a fenced in area wwith a couple of dog houses.

If you have any specific questions, just post them on the forum, and I'm sure you'll get lots of replies. We are here to help in any way we can. Raising chickens is a great experience for children.
