Hi all, I've been keeping chickens for a few years now and have been lurking around the forum for a while as it's got so much information! I currently keep ex-battery hens, Norfolk Greys and Wyandottes. I'm hoping to acquire some Light Sussex hatching eggs this week as we found out that it makes a lot of difference to how friendly the hens turn out to be! We were very lucky with all of our hens, but my friend was not quite as lucky. I raised the Wyandottes myself from week old chicks, and am now really looking forward to hatching my own.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

You might stop by our Buy Sell and Trade section to see if anyone here has any of these eggs for sale...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/36/chicken-hatching-eggs

I don't know if they will ship to the UK however. Stop by the UK thread. Maybe someone locally can help you out with this...https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/74004/england-uk

Good luck finding what you are looking for and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. If you're looking for a friendly breed, you've made a good choice. I had some Sussex for a while and they are very friendly chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting your Light Sussex and with your Wyandotte hatch.
