Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!!!

They newbies finally arrived tonight- there are 8 instead of 7...1 black australorp, 1 buff Orpington, 1 Amerucauna (sp?), and the rest are barred rocks. It was too dark to get a good picture of them, but I'll get some pics of everyone tomorrow

It seems the new ladies are doing well- yesterday I found only 1 egg, this morning I found 2 eggs --I hadn't had the chance to get any nest boxes set up for them, so I went and found a Rubbermaid tote and lid, cut a hole in the side, put some straw inside and put it in their pen....I just checked their nest box and found 3 more eggs! Yay!!

So tomorrow I'll get a couple more nest boxes set up for the newbies and one for the original 4 and see how many eggs we can get a day
