hi ,

i am a first time chicekn mum and been lucky that i have raised these chickens from birth (my center had henny penny come to it)
i have 5 chickens at this moment 1 black australorps, 2 pale yellow light sussex and 2 caramel lohmons. my black one is called popcorn named by a child at work the rest are unnamed so i dont become attached to them incase they became a rooster.

Popcorn had always been the main chicken and loved sitting on my shoulder and still does. Does anyone know why this is???

but since 2 sundays ago the light sussex ones are now trying to bite us and became rough with the other chickens. this and their tails are makling me think they are roosters. so i believe i will end up with 3 lovely hens :)

Sounds like your Popcorn really loves you! She has gotten used to sitting up there and is sharing the roost with you. (your shoulders) :)
