I live in a small town in wisconsin. I like animals and horror movies.

I garden- the house I'm live in now has as much of the yard as possible devoted to being gardened without it being legally a farm. I'm also going to be trying out hydroponic gardening this year too!
I also cook, a lot, thats partly why I garden- so I have all sorts of fresh things to cook as often as I need them with out having to spend a bunch of money.

I'm pretty friendly and I try to be easy to talk to.

right now I only have the little tiel that you see in my profile pic: Bogie. I may soon have some barnyard birdies though I'm still looking into whats the best kind for what I need/my situation allows. :3 Which is what brought me here!

I do have a neighbor however, down the road somewhere, who seems to have an exceptionally loud rooster. I keep meaning to track it down and ask about it, but I never do. XD and I live a few blocks away from a little turkey farm, they're always getting out and running amok in the church yard/graveyard thats next door to it. its pretty fun to watch.

Have you stopped by our learning center yet? Lots of good articles on getting started with chickens, building the coop, raising the chicks and keeping your adult flock happy, healthy and safe from predators...https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center

Of course if you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask someone here. :-)

If you decide to get chickens, Murray McMurray has an excellent "chick selector" tool at https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/chick_selector.html to help you choose which breed is best for you. Just be sure and click on "show more characteristics." Good luck in getting your flock.
