Looking for information about why boiled eggs are so difficult to peel? Are my chickens missing something from their diet? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Think cold shocking the hot eggs is the biggest thing. Eggs that are a little older (week or so) do seem to do better, but even most fresh eggs will work ... add room temperature eggs to boiling water, keep on medium heat (depending on size of egg 10-15 minutes or so). Drain eggs into colander, quickly give eggs a good shake so you crack the shells, immediately dump into big bowl of ice water, stir around, eggs should peel easily.... here is a thread that covers about every method possible ... https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/115799/crazy-easy-way-to-make-hard-boiled-eggs/0_20
