Hi! I am new to Backyard Chickens! I decided to join because I recently received a Rouen duck and am not sure how to tell whether it is a boy or girl or if it is too soon to know. Anyone able to tell?

Sorry I know nothing about ducks - if you go to the "Other Backyard Poultry," forum above you will find threads on DUCKS, the duck people should be able to answer your questions. Meanwhile your duckling is adorable and it looks like it is living in duck paradise with the nice pool.

Please supervise when he is in the pool. He probably can't fly well - so it's important that there is some type of ramp going in and out of the pool. Ducks can drown.
