Hi I'm new and have a question about my new chicken who is crowing in the morning, so maybe rooster?

BYC can be a bit daunting at first, but you will get the hang of things here soon. :-)

If the bird on the left is the same age as the bird on the right, yes it is a cockerel! He sure is pretty!

Thank you 2 crows! The one on the left / possible rooster is a few weeks older then the orange chicken if that makes any difference, thank you!
 
Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Your bird on the left is your crower; he is an Easter Egger cockerel. The bird on the right is a Buff Orpington pullet. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

If your bird is crowing, then he is most likely a rooster. Both those birds are very pretty. The one on the left is definitely a rooster due to the long feathers, coloring and large, red comb.
