I just got my six girls (I hope) today! I think they are about five days old. I have two Americaunas, two white Leghorns, and two light Brahmas. With the price of eggs going up, my husband finally gave in! We live in the high desert and it gets very hot here. It was in the 90s today. I remember having chickens on our farm growing up, back then we just let the mom do all the work. Now I am the mom! Here is a pic of Ethyl, Hazel, Gladys, Myrtle, Gussie and Pearl!
