Glad you could join the flock! That's a lovely flock you have there, what breeds do you have? Did your hens hatch the chicks or did you get them in?

My rooster is a dorking, my three hens are a Rhode Island white, a gold laced Wyandotte, and an Orpington. My gold laced Wyandotte sat on a few eggs that the rhode island white laid and the Orpington sat on one of her own. They are mixed breed so I have 5 of those that the two mothers raise together. Then I went out and bought a Barred rock and Ameraucana chicks.

Funny how starting with just a few birds, the flock just grows, grows and grows (that darn chicken math). Hope you are enjoying your flock, it would be nice to see some photos if you would care to share.

Sounds like you have a lovely flock! Those are some great breeds! I love your avatar pic! Buff orpingtons, dorkings and wyandottes are some of my favorite breeds!
