ScaledCritters
Hatching
Hello!
A little introduction of myself: As my name on here implies, I have (and love) animals with scales. I have chickens, snakes, geckos, and fish. In addition to my scaled critters, I also have cats, dogs, and horses.
I currently have eight chickens, seven of which are just over two weeks old. My oldest chicken, Henrietta, was a stray who I finally captured last Fall. My ex-neighbors abandoned her along with their outdoor cats. The cats found a home with another neighbor, and I got Henrietta. I wouldn't trade her for anything. She is a sweetheart and an excellent producer of brown eggs. And she started my chicken addiction
.
I recently bought seven chicks online and received them June 1st. I have a Silver Cuckoo Marans, a Buff Laced Polish, a Buff Brahma, a White Cochin, a suspected Egyptian Fayoumi, a suspected Golden Campine, and a suspected Black Orpington. The "suspects" were part of a random assortment.
I will leave it at that. I look forward to learning more about chickens through the members of this forum!
