We got our first chickens a year and a half ago -- australorps, orpingtons and americauna/leghorn crosses. We now have 6 more "teenagers" -- leghorns and rhode island reds -- and 10 silver grey dorking 2 month olds (we lost an 11th yesterday to a .... CAT!). We got the chickens for great eggs but we've all fallen in love with them! I've got two kids who adore them, and my husband and I can't believe how entertaining and fun they are. We live on Vancouver Island, and are hot in search of a soy free organic feed, hopefully with Fertrell nutri balancer!
