I was hoping that she'd go all the way, but I am soo impressed with how she's handled herself under all that pressure...I was also glad that Melissa got the boot...she wasn't an asset to either team. I loved Bonnie's expression when she saw the lobsters.

Judymae, my DH and I watched last Monday night, as we do every Monday night, and saw Julia leave the show. Sad but good, too since he offered to send her to school. I cannot tell you how excited we were that he actually offered to send her to culinary school. We were wondering??Did she take him up on that offer? He has never offered anything like that before so that was high praise coming from Chef Ramsey. She was wonderful and if we are ever in Oklahoma we will make it a point to stop in her restaurant! She was great!
I guess it would help to know where her restaurant is located???

Julia is (I believe) currently living in Georgia. That's where the restaurant is. I'll ask my grandmother when she gets back in town to find out for me. She had a death in the family (in OK) so she will be out for awhile.

Julia wasn't able to take the culinary school offer. She can't afford to just go to school. She has to work and pay bills like alot of us. I wish she could have, though.

I saw a side of Chef Ramsey that I've never seen when he sent Julia home. He wasn't mean at all. He showed real compassion. I think that is the real Ramsey. He cared about Julia and was so sweet to her. Offering the culinary school and giving her a hug!

As soon as everything slows down I'll let ya'll know what I find out about Julia. Where she is currently living and the location of the restaurant and the name of it! Thanks everyone!!!

I watch that show regularly and was really pulling for Julia. I yelled at the TV when, on the first episode the girls were giving her trouble. I think she is going to go far. She's got the skills and the talent and she, unlike the rest of those people knows what teamwork means!

I was sad to see her get cut this week and had tears in my eyes when Chef Ramsey told her he was paying to put her throught culinary school and to come back to win next season.

Bad news. I heard from my grandmother (Julia's aunt) and she told me something that really ticked me off. Hell's Kitchen is fixing to have an episode where they invited the Mother's of each contestant and made a whole show outta it. Well Julia's mother is special. She lived through a horrible motorcycle accident years ago and physically hasn't ever been the same. Her back is messed up so she walks slower and holds her head different. Her teeth look horrible because when she was in the hospital they were too worried about just saving her life. They didn't fix the teeth that were knocked out or her fingers that were broke. She even had a broken pelvis that they didn't even touch because they didn't think she was gonna make it. Her name is Sherry and she is the sweetest woman. Will never be able to work again and lives with her mother. She really can't work or anything like that again. Anyways-Hell's Kitchen sent her to get her teeth a 'quick fix' so she could be on the episode with all the other parents. Well the dentist said there was no 'quick fix' for her so the producers at Hell's Kitchen sent her and Julia out on a day of fun while they taped the whole episode. That is really insulting. They did pay for Sherry to go out there and for the whole thing but I bet it really hurt Sherry and Julia's feelings to be treated that way. They shouldn't have done the episode if everyone couldn't be in it. I'm just so upset!

truth be told: would sherry have prefered going on national tv with millions of viewers looking that way? I'm not so sure i would want to be on national tv unless i looked like angelina jolie personally.

i always rooted for julia, she seemed like such an honest good person. no BS about her, that's the way i like my friends.

i was curious, you mentioned julia didn't do the culinary school thing because she couldn't afford to not work. how did she have the time to go on the show? do the contestants get paid to be on the show?

maybe sherry & julia will get "revenge" and the mother episode will never air?

I don't know how she afforded to go on the show. I'm not really sure if they get paid or not. Julia has been on her own for a long time and supported herself by working very hard.

I think the episode is suppose to air soon. I forgot to add that I think another reason they didn't want them on that episode is because Sherry is white and Julia looks mainly african american. Her dad is african american. I hope that has nothing to do with it. Not in this day and time. I know it really upset Sherry that she was the reason Julia wasn't on that episode. I don't think Sherry would mind going on the air look like she does. She's accepted her disabilities. She really is a very strong woman. She had to fight her doctors to allow her to go home from the hospital after the accident. They wanted her to go to a nursing home. She wanted no part of that!

I honestly do not believe the reason was because of Julia being by-racial. The last American Idol's winner was bi-racial and they showed her parents. Many celebrities are bi-racial and no one gives it a second thought.
Sad for whatever reason though. We only wish the best for Julia. I believe it was advertized that it would be this week's episode...the parents tasting?
