Hello, my hen was outside by the glass sliding doors. We left the security metal door open and did not hold it back with a brick (which we usually do) because there was no wind. Out of nowhere, a gust of wind brought the security door right at her and squished her. Her shoulder blade, I think you could say wing blade, is swollen or inflamed. I know the wing is not broken because she still takes dust baths, and she can still move her wing. But what can I do to help her? Is there something I can apply to the swollen area? Or can I give her anything?

Also, she is having this issue where she will "yawn" constantly after eating. Is she choking? She eats corn, lettuce, tomatoes, cabbage, cherries ocassionally and of course, her regular feed. Sometimes we will give her bread, rice, and chicken but not often, it is rare when we do.

She's 8 years old. She's around 5 lbs.
She is just taking a hen boost probiotic that includes potassium, vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, vitamin C, and phytase. Sav-A-Chick.

I was told that her "yawning" could be due to gapeworm (syngamus trachea) and to give her fenbendazole liquid 10% suspension. 1.15 mL orally once daily for 5 consecutive days.

I'm looking for a specific brand safe for my hen. Anyone else every go through something like this?? Please help me 🙏

The yawning is just crop adjustment, it's normal. though you may want to stop the corn, rice bread etc and really cut back on the treats until her crop stabilizes.
She's Likely pretty bruised and tender, but should heat quickly
Okay this is a relief to read. She had the crop issue back in December it went away and now it's come back. The injury occurred around 2 months ago and we thought she was going to get better but the swelling wont go down and is getting larger.

Hmm, ok, two months ago is information that changes everything.
Is it under the skin or the muscle?

SafeGuard liquid goat wormer or horse paste is a good brand of fenbendazole 10% wormer. Panacur horse paste is as well. Does the area feel like swollen tissue, fluid or air under the skin? Pictures are helpful.

I got this one is it still food? There's like about 3 swollen areas one by her crop, a bit hard. Another above her back squishy but with a hard tip. And lastly another on her wing but on the inner side.
