My mother in law manages an apartment complex in the city. Apparently they moved 11 baby ducks and were going to put them in the park. They will die so my mother in law called me. What the heck do I do if i bring them home......

You'll be just fine mtcookie, baby ducks aren't much different than baby chicks. Bring them home feed them chick or turkey starter..I always put a shallow tub of water in with them. That is about it. Just love them. They are really easy to take care of..then when they get older turn them out or keep them. We have a creek by our house, ours would go down and stay all day, but in the evening they would come up a sleep on the bank. I would keep them out food by the creek. They'll stay close to it. Good Luck. DJ

do you know where mom is?? And what kind of ducks are they??

If they were wild mallard ducks your mother in law is REAL brave for removing them!!! Your not aloud......

11 ducks are messy and are gonna eat alot!! Find a wildlife rescue or bird rescue to see if they can take them.

For the mean time.....NO MEDICATED CHICKEN FEED! Find some starter duck food or chicken food at a local feed store. They also need some greens. LOTS OF WATER but don't let them swim depending on age.

They grow quickly and you might need several plastic bins to keep them in..like 2 when then get bigger 1 for now...Not sure how big they are.

Keep them warm and away from predators

CALL A RESCUE!! That's alot to handle unless you have the space and $$ for them.

After a long conversation with my husband he says I can keep two of them. We are currently to quickly place the others. Wish us luck on the placement.

I have no clue how old they are. This was all done via phone call. I will post pictures when they get here.

2 ducks are totally reasonable!! I have 2 and i have to say, I LOVE THEM!!! Mine follow me around the yard nibbling at my legs, lOL

Find a rescue , they might be able to take all of the ones you can't keep.

If they are mallards prepare yourself for them to fly away when they migrate. That's why i can get those types cause i would just
