I've a flock of 8 hens . The two in question are mother and daughter. the mother is the head of the pack the daughter near the bottom. The daughter is a year old and should be laying but isn't.
Suddenly yesterday the daughter cornerered the older hen and started pecking her head. They have since both been going at each other and have really messed each other up. Do I leave them to sort out their differences or do I intervene.
