Sadly, the second one died last week
( As it turns out, it looks like the 2 illnesses were unrelated.We think our australorp got into a biunch of foam insulation that was in her temp winter coop wall (they somehow got to a panel and they had a feeding frenzy!!! When I went in to gently try to push back in a prolapse of her intestine (poor girl!!), I felt a bunch of what seemed like hard little gravely bits all up through her....it turned out they were bright pink (the color of the insulation she had eaten 3 weeks before!!! We think she became blocked with it...she went down so fast (from start of symptoms until death it was just over 24 hrs).
( The other chicken was sick already before the insulation ever came into play.
