No , no new chickens. Vet phoned and is sending off samples today. Said it's some sort of bacterial infection but won't commit to anything till the results are back.
She says what ever it is it's acute and the hen had no white blood cells which apparently means she had no way of fighting it off, as her imune system couldn't cope as it's so fast acting, no visable symtoms then suddenly runny nose gasping and death in a few hours.
Hopefully it will be sorted in a day or so and everyone seemed fine when i tucked them up for the night.
