HELP!!! 3 thermometers in bator NON the same!!! HELP!!!

I have to disagree with going with the digital, since they state on the instructions that they can be 1-2 degrees off either way. If I were you, I wouldn't go with any of them. Get a medical thermometor--the old fashioned kind with the mercury. This is the *only* kind I trust for accurate temps. They are acurate within one tenth of a degree.

Humidity is frustrating. My digital hygrometer read 10 degrees short when calibrated as well, but when I put it in with a non-digital hygrometer, they consistently had the same readings. Hmmm. So I'm not convinced it really was 10 degrees short, but then I'm not a scientist either!

Good luck!

What is your house thermostat set on and are you running heat or ac? If you are put all the thermometers right next to each other in the room with your house thermostat. See what they read and if one seems way off you know not to trust that one. This is more or less accurate depending on the quality of your furnace or a/c unit, size of your house, and any drafts coming from cold windows and such. However if the thermometers are right next to each other it rules out some of the temp layering you get in a bator. With 2 thermometers that read the same thing my still air can be up to 6F different from the center to the edge. Where you put each thermometer can impact what it reads especially in a still air. That's why you should measure on top of the eggs in the center.

My hygrometer was still increasing after 24hrs. I think it would depend on how much salt mixture you put in what size bag but if it were still reading low I'd wait another 12hrs and read it again. Your humidity is probably fine though. You don't have to be exact on humidity. I generally just try to keep it between 40-50% while incubating. After a few batches you also learn what size the air sac normally is and can make adjustments if it seems off. There are a few pics online of air sac sizes at different days but rarely are my eggs so nicely uniform that those pics are that useful.
