I’m voting pullet. I had a LO who may have been slightly bigger/ redder comb and wattles than yours at 5-6 weeks. The responses are so mixed I’ll be excited to follow this one.

What's your update? I'm curious! I was thinking pullet because my 5 week old LO chick (supposed to be a pullet) is much more boy-looking than yours. I'm hoping you got a pullet! Lol

So it has been about 2 weeks since my initial post about my LO. Here are some updated pics from today. This LO is just shy of 8 weeks old now.

So it has been about 2 weeks since my initial post about my LO. Here are some updated pics from today. This LO is just shy of 8 weeks old now.

Hmm, that's still puzzling to me.

If I just look at the new photos, I think it's probably male.

If I compare with the previous photos, I see that the comb & wattle have gotten bigger and brighter, but not as fast as I would expect on a male. So that makes me wonder if the chick might not be a male.

If that's a pullet, she's developing pretty fast.
But if that's a cockerel, he's rather slow about it.

So I'm still undecided.

My lavender Orpington pullet had me scared she was a boy. I am still going to guess girl, but there is a little more red than you’d like.
