Help! A Rooster or a Hen?

My 8 year old son just got this Buff and we dont know if its a Roo or a Hen. Can anyone tell?
If its a Roo its got to go and it will break his heart he has done named it Buffy!

It's looking like a cockerel in the face and with those tail (sickle) feathers to me. How old is it?

I can tell right off it is a cockerel. On buff birds when the males start to mature, the saddle and hackle feathers get shiny and just a tad darker than the rest of the body. He also has a nice tail going there already.

So, this is definately a boy.

Thanks for the input, I kind of thought Roo because of the long tail feathers. Maybe I can find a hen and swap them out and he wont notice. Again thanks everybody!
