last Thursday we brought home a pair of peafowl. One and a half year old India Blue male and female. They look healthy and the breeder we bought them from had a really nice setup and all of the birds look happy and healthy. Here is my question/problem: They have been sitting on their roosting perch since we turned them loose from their travel boxes. They won't go eat, go outside, drink or do anything. One spot - that's it. They have a very nice 12'x12' tough shed for their inside space and a large opening into a large pen for their outside space. Both areas have food and water. We did our homework and set everything up the way they like it, getting advice from the breeder as we went. I can't call him, because he is on vacation for the next two weeks. Afraid they won't last that long. He did say that they were just dewormed a few weeks ago. Is this normal behavior for new birds? Are they just scared? Can I help them? Worried and confused.
