Hi all,
Right now I have one coop with 3 Orpington hens but one is sitting on 7 eggs. I plan to separate mom and the eggs from my other 2 ladies before hatch day (I know the other hens could stay with mom and the chicks but I had a bad experience with in which a hen ate 2 hatching chicks. I don’t have that hen any more).
I do have a new coop coming but of course it won’t arrive in time (probably about a week after hatch day). So while I’m waiting for the new coop to arrive how can I separate my hens.
