I just candled my duck eggs that are due to hatch on the 6th. Some of the ducklings are already in the air sac! last time that happened it hatched the next day! I haven't put them in lockdown yet. Should I? What about the other eggs?

Are you saying the temp was higher than last time?
If eggs hatch early, it is a 99% chance the cause was high temperature. Between now and next time get a new thermometer. There at least 3 thermometers accurate enough for incubation that won't break the bank. Others will work if properly calibrated. Don't trust the incubator reading till calibrated or it has hatched eggs on time.

Yeah, I'm not too worried about the temp right now. I will take care of that later. right now I need to know what to do about this batch. Do I need to put them in lockdown?
