I wonder why someone would have dumped her. You say the eggs were eaten, maybe she's an egg eater and they didn't know what to do with her?

Maybe, but there are coyotes, hawks, and possums In our neighborhood too. And she lays them right out in the open, no nest. But it is possible

That makes me worried about her safety. I can't figure out why someone would dump a perfectly good laying hen, there must have been something wrong with her. Otherwise they could have just sold her. Unless she is normal and the people who dumped her are nutty.

Yeah, probably. She will be the first one eaten if something comes, and she won't be able to get away. I'm not really sure about how to go about catching her.

No, they'll probably fly away, and the Pekin will try to follow them so act quick.

Okay!!! What if they do though? Will I be injured or will it just hurt and bruise. Sorry for being a baby. And the duck that she’s always with assuming can’t fly either since her size too. Should I try to get that one too????

Trust me, they're not going to attack you.

Get anyone that can't fly, yes. These birds won't be able to sufficiently find food in the winter, and fly away from predators year-round.
