Help!! ASAP

Now he's got some white, maybe scars on his face. His mouth improved, I've been giving him very, very small amounts of tylan out of a syringe. It now spread to the outside of his beak?? It kinda looks like its eating away at it. I rubbed some vet rx around the outside of his beak, rubbed honey on the inside of his mouth when I got the sores, or whatever it was out. His eye looks kinda improved, just I'm worried about the whole beak thing.

If you are going ahead and giving Tylan, then it would be good to give him the correct dosage.
For Tylan50 give him 0.25ml per pound of weight orally, 3 times a day for 5 days.

Well, I was hoping it was fowl pox, and not canker or something else. I guess I just thought some of the black scabs on his comb and wattles in the first pic might have been pox.

It may still be fowl pox, put the stuff on his comb and waddles is from the initial fight. I've been looking and reading up on fowl pox. It most likely is, but either way, he needs some tlc and food with good nutrients. I'm hoping he gets better soon, I can tell he misses being with the rest of the flock.

I can tomorrow, its very dark out at the moment and thank you for the dosage. I've been giving him 0.25 ml if not a smaller dosage. I was very afraid of over dosing him. I plan on stopping the tylan all together because fowl pox isn't affected by it, and Im almost positive that is what he has.

As for the "eating away at his beak" its difficult to explain. Yesterday I had checked up on him in the morning, looking at his face, ect. I wet what looked to be like a scab on his beak, it had that yellowish tint and started to lightly move it off to put some of my wound care cream and a touch of vet rx but when it was sloshing away the "scab" had went deeper into his beak, like it kept going, but as soon as I saw it kept going, I stopped, I didnt want to do anything more. So I put the wound care on it, ect. Cleaned up everything around it so it wouldn't spread.

But I checked on him this morning and he's got another, scabish bump on the bottom of his beak, this also had a yellowish tint. I wet the scab, didnt pull it off and put the wound care and vet rx on it. As for his mouth, its looking better, tad bit of yellow still in there, he still, sometimes, creates "spit" which as I said before, isnt really supposed to happen. Other than the infection or whatever it is, he drinks, eats, crows and dances for me every time I take him out of the cage to treat him and feed him.

Most of the time Fowl Pox is from Mosquitoes, are those active in NH this time of year?

I'm not sure its by tylan. Mosquitoes are not active, but I had read that open wounds can sometimes create fowl pox. NH right now is freezing, very cold. But some days its warm and it creates a lot of mud,

Ohhh...Interesting! I have not read that about Fowl Pox, do you have a link to the article/information you read? I'm always looking for the most recent info on chickens diseases.

It would not be pox unless you had some chickens with it during mosquito season last fall. Pox is spread by mosquitoes and shed pox scabs over several months. Can you post any updated pics of the white spots and the beak lesions?

It can be transmitted by birds, mosquitoes or fomites (inanimate objects such as equipment).

Interesting. I had never thought about it occurring with skin abrasions, so you could be on to something there.
