Hi guys I know it’s 4 am but my first ever duckling hatched, he looks great and healthy but he is still somewhat attached to the shell and some yolky substance came out as he was born. Should I just let him be in the incubator and leave him be or is there something I should do?

Sounds normal unless it's a bleeding sac hanging out of him. There is always some gook in the bottom of the shell. Everything will start to dry up and look normal within a day.

Hey guys!
Writing this post for future readers; indeed when I went back to check on him about 4 hours later when I woke up it had dried up to a yucky looking brown-fig thing and he was peeping away and making the world aware of his presence. It had also fallen off. All is well!

I just hatched my first chicks this week (not ducks). I'm not sure if its the same but some came out with nothing hardly anything attached and some had a bit attached. I let them be. One seemed a bit weak and I took a couple older (in hours out) so they wouldn't step on him. He turned out healthy. I am no expert! This is my first time and it is so worrisome! I just found out my last egg is a duck and I'm hoping he makes it. Good luck!
