No experience with ducks either, try to keep him warm, and give him some water. Until someone with actual experience with ducks comes along and gives you a real answer also what ever you do dont feed him untill you give him food. thats what google said anyway.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww so cute! We have lots of duckie people on the site, so I am sure you will get better advice! Do you have any water sources near you? An irrigation ditch, lake or creek? Do you have any neighbors who have ducks? These things might help you find mama and siblings.

Looks like a wild Mallard so contact fish and game they should be able to put you in touch with a water fowl rehabbed in the meanwhile if you have chick starter grower it can have that and needs a container deep enough to wash out its nares and eyes very important it Be able to drink while eating warmth about 80 looks to be close to 2 weekish

Don't know about ducks either but I do know cats mouths are extremely dirty so I would check for any puncture wounds. If its wild I would contact a wildlife person/rescue because they could have other babies they could have it grow up with. Cute little guy.

Hi thank you
We have a stream right behind us and we see baby ducks there all the time
I think my cat scared the mom off. I'm hoping she comes back and we can try to reunite them. Praying she comes back

A baby mallard. I wouldn't worry too much about infection as ducks have a very high body temperature and it is hard for infections to set in, except for staff/ bumblefoot. Flock raiser crumbles or an all flock crumble are best because of niacin content. Wildlife rescue is the best idea if they will take it.
