help blood....

hey everyone
well... my duck had long nail cause she was inside and it never wore down cause shes inside the house. so day she went for a swim in the concrete pond... and well her toe nail ripped off and it was bleeding a lot all over my sweatshirt and stuff... we used quick stop but it wouldnt stop for at least 15 min. should i be concerned about infection?

As long as it didn't go all the way into the quick it will grow back. keep it clean and an eye on it..
Fred one of my ducks had the same thing happen last year.. One nail he broke off on one webby ( we sitll don't know how he did it) and then a few days later I got another nail on the opposite foot.. Was vaccuming out the back of the car and Fred was keeping me company and didn't notice that he was right by my foot when I moved over I steped on side of webby and found out I'd broke one of his nails... They both grown back..But man it scared me and made me feel bad.. I kept them clean and they healed and began to grow back..

ok cool yeah it deff broke after the quik. so i guess i just gotta watch it
