Is there any way to clear something out of a chicken's windpipe? Like a Chicken-Heimlich maneuver? My chicken seems to have just swallowed something wrong and it's not in her throat or crop...It's deeper in the windpipe where it's affecting her ability to breathe. You can hear that something is blocking it - when she inhales and exhales it makes a whistling noise, and she does not seem to be able to get enough air into her lungs as she struggles to breathe. I HOPE SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO HELP!

Oh, goodness! It sounds like a respiratory illness to me (rales??)

If it's an obstruction, I'm unsure what to do - I'm so sorry!

If it is any consolation, one of my hens had a situation where she was "honking" quite loudly with every breath. This went on all afternoon until she went to bed, and she was fine the next morning. I am theorizing that she had a peanut half stuck in there somehow. If your hen does not seem distressed or otherwise ill, I would let her be, and hope that the situation can resolve over night. I would keep her in the coop, so she is not any more stressed than need be.
