Hi I have a few different chicks that I am just not sure- it was a mixed lot from a breeder who had several different kinds. The lady said it has to be one of the following:
Araucana, Americana, Barred Plymounth, Black Giants, Columbian Wyndottes, Buff or Lavendar Orpingtons, Rhode Island Red, Black copper maran, or Sussex

This one was born from a light tan egg, I was thinking Americana, it had the chipmunk appearance, and it looks like it, but the light tan egg??

This one I have no idea, looks like a white chick with cinnamon face and black dots

I think this is a jersey giant, but the white on the wings is throwing me off?

And I was told these are Columbian Wyandottes:

I'd agree on the Columbian Wyandottes -- as long as they are rose combed.

Seems like there is too much brown in the feathers of the one you are wondering about being a Jersey Giant.

What is the comb like on the "cinnamon" chick? It could be a variety of Orpington, but I can't say.

By "Araucana, Americana," could they be basically just Easter Eggers. Those can come in so many different feather colorings, and they can lay any colored egg from pink to tan to green to blue. Some will have puffed cheeks while others will not. Many do look like chipmunks as chicks, but not all. So some of what you can't identify could very well just be EEs.

My friend is great at IDing chicks, but I'm still challenged.
