I am not able to get it up for the lock down I have the wells filled a wet rag in there and will be putting the sponge in but there is no room I already had to take out the 12 and put in the other incub to try and fit in the sponges etc.

I second that I would check your hygrometer I have a Brinsea and the humidity pump and in the start I was freaking out it was never up to the correct level added two other calibrated Hygrometers and Poof found the problem

I'm in Missouri and I have the same bator. I'm wondering if your hygrometer is off... I fill both the wells and add a small athletic sock socked in water and keep the vent 2/3 closed... That makes the humidity perfect in mine. If you see a tiny bit of condinsation forming on the top crevisis then that is good.. You should just barely see any condinsation and if you see anymore than a few drops then the humidity needs to be lowered a touch... Also you can adjust the humidity by opening and closing the tiny whole... Always keep it a little open when they are hatching so they get fresh air though... and if you close it all the way the humidity skyrockets... You can also cover the water whole on the top of the lid. I know it's tiny but covering it will save a little of the humidty from escaping...

to achieve lock down humidity in my eco, i filled both channels and laid a thin washcloth the length of one channel and extended it out 1 inch to increase surface area. I then put the tray back on top with no limpiness. worked the bomb. no need for sponges, etc.
sounds like your hydro thingy is broke.
